Fundraisers
METAL STRAW FUNDRAISER
In April of 2019, we ordered 100 metal straws to sell to Florida Southern students and faculty. Within two days we had sold out of straws. So, we ordered 200 more and they arrived a few weeks later. We sold them throughout Dead Week and by the end of the week we had sold a total of 269 straws, leaving only 31 in our inventory. Our faculty adviser, Dr. Hasson, even managed to sell 5 additional straws to an IAE board member.
During the Fall and Spring semesters, we are looking to sell more straws until we feel there is no longer a demand for them. We have even discussed the possibility of selling accessories for the straws. |
HEADSHOTS FUNDRAISER
|
We organized the Headshots Fundraiser in the Fall of 2018, Spring of 2019, and the Fall of 2021. We had the pleasure of being able to partner with a student photographer who has extensive experience taking professional photos and orchestrating student photo shoots. This fundraiser is a great opportunity for students to get their headshots taken to use on their resumes or on their LinkedIn profiles. The photos are also affordable for students and there are different package options for the students. For example, students can pick the amount of photos they want and whether they would like them edited or unedited. The pictures will then be sent to the students via email.

Regional and Annual Meetings
FALL 2019 ANNUAL MEETING - CHICAGO, IL.
In Chicago, we presented in the "Chapter Operations" category explaining our first year as a petitioning chapter. This category is not a competition, but informative for other chapters to watch. After we presented, we were approached by a judge who encouraged us to compete because we did so well. Very exciting!
SPRING 2020 REGIONAL MEETING - LOUIVILLE, KY.
In Louisville, we competed against other chapters in the "Engagement" category of Best Practices talking about how our point system encouraged engagement through exciting activities and accessible events. We did not place, so we will not be competing at the 2020 Annual Meeting; however, we still plan to present in Chapter Operations on the subject of successful presentation skills.
