MEMBERSHIP
As a member of the Beta Alpha Psi chapter at Florida Southern, you will be given the opportunity to meet prospective employers at our chapter meetings (i.e. guest speakers), as well as at professional events that are sponsored by the business school (i.e. Meet the Firms, Mock Interviews, Panels, and much more). You will also be able to create relationships with other accounting majors and minors, growing your network of connections even more. Being a member of Beta Alpha Psi is something that future employers, professionals and faculty like to see on your resume because it shows your commitment to both your career and your academics. You will also have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and other skills necessary to professional development.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Students pursuing an undergraduate accounting degree (major or minor) or a Master of Accountancy are eligible.
Students must:
Baby Betas: Accounting students not in upper level Accounting courses, but want to be involved in BAP. Allowed to participate in all events. No application, point system requirements, or dues until they are a Candidate/Member.
Candidates: Students eligible, applied and passed the interview process. Must be a candidate for one semester before becoming inducted as a Member. Must meet the membership requirements, point system requirements, and pay annual dues.
Members: Students who have completed a semester as a Candidate in BAP, and attained minimum academic performance to be admitted as a member of the chapter.
Students must:
- have a cumulative GPA, in all courses, of at least a 3.0,
- rank within the top 35% of their class,
- OR have a 3.25 cumulative grade average on the most recently completed 30 semester hours .

HOUR REQUIREMENTS
Each semester you will need:
We conduct at least one group service project where a large portion of our chapter works together, in addition to smaller group service projects.

- A minimum of 5 professional activity hours.
- A minimum of 5 service activity hours.
- There is a maximum of 5 non-Beta Alpha Psi professional activities and a maximum of 5 non-Beta Alpha Psi service hours that can be used towards the requirements above, per semester.
- A minimum of 4 participation points
